The Meaning of Aloha - Joey Aloha
Far enough from the grid to not have utility power but close enough to make a positive impact, Joey Cadiz’s Kalo (Taro) farm in Haleiwa, Oahu is the type of project we need to support. It exemplifies all of the basic but necessary parts that make communities whole and connected. Starting with food and teaching the process through education programs with Keiki (children) and Makua (adults) to perpetuate the life cycle of farming on our island home. Helping provide reliable clean energy is a small part but crucial when necessities like refrigeration and lighting need to be addressed.
