The small seasonal fishing village far off the coast of Chile runs almost entirely on diesel generators.  90 miles from its closest neighbor Juan Fernandez island and small airport.  Only accessible by boat, we visited it years ago on a surf/ocean plastic exploration trip.  (Link to los plásticos).  We made a promise to the community to empower them with clean energy and help them reduce the need for gas and diesel.  It’s on the short list of Legasea projects.

Fiji holds a very special place in our hearts.  Surfing brought us to her beautiful island’s but it’s her people that have kept us coming back.  Small things in life can sometimes make huge impacts and it’s through clean renewable energy that we hope to leave our legacy.  Bringing communities together by supplying reliable energy in remote nursing stations for basic health care needs or providing energy to light and cool off grid school house’s without the generator hum and smells so the children can learn comfortably.  More solar equals less fossil fuels, creating smaller chances of diesel or oil contamination on Fiji’s unique marine eco systems and reefs.  This is our dream, join us and leave your LegaSea.
